SERVICE / UX DESIGN2024
This project focuses on international students arriving in Singapore who face daunting challenges, including adapting to a new environment and navigating cultural and language variances. These students encounter an unfamiliar environment, making them feel isolated and overwhelmed. In the case of Chinese international students, providing targeted intervention and support services is essential to help them thrive in their unfamiliar environment. The service through the customized application and accompanying activities aims to provide a pleasant and less pressure adjustment process for international students during the adaptation period,  creating a “comfort zone” for them.  Service design focuses on user experience and emotional connection, demonstrating deep humanistic care and cross-cultural design capabilities. It also demonstrates how systemic design can effectively address social issues.
